Equatorial Guinea traditionally had an economy built of agriculture, but since the discovery of oil, the sector has grown significantly and now the majority of exports come from oil & gas. Major trading partners include the USA, France and China.

Why work in Equatorial Guinea?

Equatorial Guinea is a challenging work and social environment. The majority of roles for highly skilled individuals come in the form of oil & gas work. The country has under developed education and healthcare systems, and anyone working in the country is advised to ensure they have insurance and access to private provisions. Social living is limited, and the population generally has very low levels of income, resulting in reduced social activity. Moving to Equatorial Guinea is not advised prior to obtaining an offer of employment.
