Working in Chad

Chad is rich in mineral resources, but instability and geographic remoteness has hampered wider development. Its main exports are oil, livestock and cotton, and it has strong trade lines with the USA, India and Japan. It remains a heavily agricultural economy, but its GDP is growing year on year.

Why work in Chad?

Traditionally work opportunities in Chad have been based on agriculture, but since the discovery of oil, the economy has developed dramatically. Oil and Cotton exports mean there are a range of opportunities for well qualified professionals in early career and senior roles. Healthcare and education systems are generally underfunded, and as a result, it is important to get access to private services. The country is rich in cultural heritage which makes it very attractive for people considering relocation.
