Working in Morocco

Morocco’s economy is diverse and enjoys strong connections with the Maghreb, West Africa and Europe. The economy is the 6th largest in Africa, and is powered by it’s Mining, Manufacturing and Technology industries. The country has excellent relationships with Spain and France, which boost its exports.

Why work in Morocco?

Morocco has a well developed economy with several sectors growing, and is an attractive destination for employers and professionals alike. The tax system is slightly higher than regional neighbours, but similar to many European countries. Local and diaspora professionals will be automatically enrolled in social security. The standard working week is 40 hours. The business culture is strongly influenced by the French business culture, and as such relationships are key. Healthcare is generally good, but private insurance is a good idea for access to better quality facilities. Crime is elevated in urban environments, so follow the advice of your employers.
