Working in Sudan

The economy of Sudan is heavily based on oil production. The country has significant mineral deposits which add to the export opportunities available. The main sector remains the agriculture sector. Main export partners reflect the amount of oil produced, and the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia are close partners.

Why work in Sudan?

Sudan has an economy built on Oil & Gas, and as such, job opportunities are available for early career and senior professionals in the industry. The challenges come in the form of access to roles. The country is underdeveloped in several industries, and there is work to be found in humanitarian and NGO roles. Access to healthcare is difficult, and private healthcare provision is recommended. The education system uses Arabic as the main language, and there are private international schools in major urban areas.
