Working in Malawi

Malawi has an economy built on agriculture, with tobacco, foodstuffs and cotton the main exports. It trades closely with regional and European partners, and has seen continued growth for some time.

Why work in Malawi?

Malawi benefits from political stability, and has been developing economically for some time. It has a large agricultural sector, offering opportunities for early career and senior professionals. The taxation system is comparable with regional neighbours. The healthcare and education systems suffer from lack of development, but generally provide for the people, particularly in urban areas. Private healthcare is still recommended. The country is very safe for those moving there for work, though burglary is common, so investigation into housing is important.
